Gave my piggies some banana yesterday and neither has pooed much since then. I just read that banana can cause constipation. What can I do to remedy it?

Thanks!

A small amount of banana doesn't usually lead to much difference, it can make a nice treat for some guineas so don't feel bad about giving your piggies some. Banana is even said to be helpful in certain situations - usually when the guinea is ill, though.

Ensure they are drinking plenty of water, offer them some good chunks of cucumber, it should even itself out fairly quickly.

Mine eat banana too, they love it and get a small slice each maybe twice a week. They LOVE the peel and will always eat it first :) (I only buy organic bananas)

I think for babies brown bananas can make poo loser while green bananas tend to constipate. Maybe just watch the banana colour?

well done you for observing the changes hon! you're a great piggie parent!

Glad they're back to normal!
I haven't thought to give banana peel, haven't yet tried my boys on banana either. I might give it a go! Organic of course :)
