I may have gone a little bit mad buying stuff for the Piggies...

I purchased two new lap blankets and cuddle sack and just literally a few minutes ago some Gorgeous Guineas Lavender Shampoo... I'm happy with my purchases although I don't think the OH and my bank account will be that impressed...

Ooopsey?

It's easy to get carried away isn't it.... Especially when its online I always find as you just click a button don't you.

I am sure they will love their gifts apart from the shampoo as that means Baff time!

I don't tell my other half he moans that all veg are for them let alone the other little bits and bobs they have :))

Heehee, this is a very good argument for remaining single - no one to complain about the money spent on piggy gifts! All I have to worry about is my poorly bank account, but that's easily solved by just not looking at it ever

Only problem I have is arguing about how much space the veg takes up in the fridge, I'd love to get a little one for my room but there's no space now the piggies are in there. Won't be long until I can move out - that'll solve that problem :woot:

Shhhhh ..... so long as you don't tell your OH or your bank account they will never know. Well the bank account might but who is he going to tell? :shh:
He'll find out as soon as it comes through the post box :D I arranged for the Shampoo to be delivered to my work address!

My other half says that all we get to eat are the guinea pigs' leftovers! He's not far wrong actually!
I was saying to my OH that the girls are getting some bell peppers, cabbage and cucumber for dinner. He said they probably won't like the bell peppers.

I replied: If they won't eat them I will :D I love peppers!

My piggies love sweet peppers. They're the same as bell peppers, aren't they? They're getting coriander stalks tonight, as I have been cooking.

I should think they'll love the peppers - ours do, in fact, they don't want to share them with us - "You can't eat that, it's ours!" they squeak. They will, however, let us have the green ones. And anything else that is either a), a bit manky or b), not quite to their taste!

I was chopping up a yellow pepper and had to resist pinching bits... Got a red one and green left. Will see how they took to them tomorrow when I pop into the shed before work!

This month I have bought a new cage. A gazillion toys, four types of guinea shampoo. Some new fleecy beds shaped like strawberries. not to mention the vet bills all the results of me being too soft lol. If it makes you happy and all your pets are healthy and happy then so be it x

Oh, it is so very easy to get carried away buying piggy stuff! I do it all the time. I have to try & stay away from the UK versions of ebay & amazon as they have so many amazing piggy things not available here in OZ. Mind you the talented members on this forum are no help. I can't tell you how many lovely cuddle cups, hideys, tunnels, etc I have bought from members on here who make all these lovely things.

I try to resist heavy items because of the postage, but recently I could not resist a cage I saw on a UK site. The freight cost as much as the cage, but was worth it. The boys now have a 100cm x 100cm cage that fits on one of my tables and finally gets their home off the ground. The boys love being eye level with me when I am sat at the computer. They come out of their hideys more often now to look & see what is going on. And the dog is prevented from constantly eating the poops that my Peanut Butter likes to kick out of the cage as these end up on the table & not the floor.
