I just weighed Fred. His weight always changes.

14-12-09 876 grams
21-12-09 917 grams
29-12-09 903 grams
04-01-10 902 grams
11-01-10 919 grams
18-01-10 951 grams
31-01-10 908 grams (fortnight)

All the other weigh in's are weekly, is 33grams a big weight loss in a fortnight? It's never happened before as you can see.

No Joanne it's just over 1oz. Todays weight is consistent with his other weights, did you weigh him after veg 2 wks ago or do you weigh him around the same time each time? :)

If it's of any reassurance, Willow's weight is up and down too. I put her's down to the arrival of Pixel and moving indoors over Christmas.

I assume he's eating as normal? Are his teeth okay. This was my first thought with Willow...

I think it will be the moving as he has had a lot going on over the last week.

Yeah I'm thinking so too, I shall be keeping a close eye on him, Both the girls gained weight... but then again nothing keeps them off there food!

A weight variation of that amount is well within normal limits
It would be of concern if there were a loss of 30gm. weekly for 3 consecutive weeks.
He is not a heavy pig so a weight gain is good news.

When I first switched to weighing in grams, instead of lb/oz, I worried about the fluctuations. Some dropped 40g in a week. It is much more reassuring to realise that 30g is just below 1oz!

The fluctuation is within the normal range, and considering the upsets lately not surprising. I'm sure that he'll put the weight back up again once your group has settled in their new home.
