Orchard Grass Hay

I had previously been feeding my boys timothy hay, but they never eat the pieces that are even a little crisper or crunchier, so I just switched to oxbow orchard grass hay and they eat every piece. I was wondering if it was healthy for them to just eat orchard grass hay instead of timothy hay from now on? They like it a lot better.

I don't really know much about American hays but I feed my piggies just meadow hay. All I know is not to feed alfalfa. I also think orchard grass hay may be very similar to meadow hay if your piggies eat it and get their fibre then I'm sure it would be ok. Hopefully someone with experience feeding oxbow hay should reply soon!

I feed Orchard grass daily along with other hays but can't see why it could not be the only hay.

@xxaimeexx I think you are right about meadow hay and orchard hay being the same thing- think that is what it is called in north america.
