Ordered a new cage for Nemo.

Well he's nearly 5 years old so he's a bit old for pairing up with anybody now.:) I have never successfully paired a boar - I tried with Nemo and another young boar when they were young but the other boar ended up getting badly bullied with Nemo and was loosing weight and had bite marks on his back so Nemo has always lived alone. He seems happy enough though in the kitchen. Also I haven't got the room for anything bigger unless he goes in the shed which isn't an option with him being old and me wanting to keep an eye on him after his illness the other week.

i thought by the picture it looked small, but okay for one piggy. it is indeed a bargain and hoping nemo enjoys his time in it.:)p:)p:)p

let us know how nemo loves his new cage! if cage is too small perhaps you could join the two cages together and make one big cage! thats what we do, good luck, you're one lucky boy nemoxx>>>xx>>>
 
Well he has his exercise running round and exploring the kitchen so I'm sure it will be big enough for him.:) In the reviews it says that it is bigger than it looks - its about as big as a Nero 3 cage from pets at home I think so it should be fine for him.

Yes that's Nemo in my avatar but he's not wearing a wig.:)) It's just the angle of the photo I think and he's got his head up high.:)

i would have taken him to that vet and said have a look at him now! you wanted to pts. guinea pigs can be treated, sorry but that vet made me so madgrrrrgrrrrgrrrr
nemo is a clever boy exploring the kitchen as that is the room where his grub is kept, he could find many tib bits.
still think he is wearing a wig, must be just me. good on you nemo and your lovely mum :rose:rose
 
I've just changed the picture to a better one.:) We went back to the vets with the dog last week but it was a different vet so didn't get the chance to tell them. Yes Nemo is doing really well now. What I find funny though is that he is not interested in other piggies at all - I was cleaning out the baby piggies at the same time as he was wandering round the kitchen and he never even bothered with them. He went up to the cage but then just turned round and wandered away. He's like this when I put him on the grass too next to female piggies(in pens) - he's no interest in them whatsoever.rolleyes
