Osseous Metaplasia - Does anyone have a guinea pig with this? I do.

This is the first I've heard of this eye disease. I wonder if anyone else has had experience with it?

My boy, Ping, has it.

I personally know nothing about it, but there is another thread from about a year ago on this forum, where another owner had a piggie with Osseous metaplasia. I hope that this helps, even a little.

I have a girl with what looks like Osseous Choristoma, very similar, she has a small calcium deposit in her eye, does not effect her at all. I dont know much about eye conditions to be honest. I wish i could help.

Hi thanks guys,

I guess I'm just panicking about it as it looks so horrible. I hope the bulging of it will settle down. I feel so bad for Ping. Plus, he has a mass/tumour near his rectum that is quite large. It's been sent off for a biopsy and hopefully by wednesday we'll have a better idea of what it is. The Vet thinks cancer but I'm not convinced.
