Adult Guinea Pig
Today my lovely Rosie had an accident. Not sure exactly what happened but she was coming down the ramp and the next thing I heard was a squeak. I looked over to see her fussing over her foot which was bleeding. After dismantling the cage to get to her and posting in a panic on here I took her to the vet.
The vet was really helpful. It turned out to be a pretty bad. Rosie had broken the nail so far down the vet had to cut it right back to the skin taking a lot of the quick with it. I was amazed at how good she was despite how much it must have hurt.
I have spent most of the evening coming down from the adrenaline. I was so worried about her. Poor thing won't go down the ramp now but at least the food is up there (and water of course). I love my girls so much I don't know what I would do if something happened to them.
