You can tell mummy had too much time on her hands today because she also stayed up late extendiing our cage and making us a hay loft (although we still haven't quite worked out this ramp thingy yet!) Its now 2x4 grids so we have lots of room to run.

They are sooooooo much fun to build! Mind you, they're as addictive as this forum. I've only had my boys 4 weeks tomorrow and this is version 2 already! I dread to think how big it will get!

It looks awesome! If you find they don't use the ramp within a day or two, consider switching the fleece for vetbed. It gives really good grip so they won't have to worry about slipping :). May be easier to start to like it then...

is there anything holding up your second level? I would like to add a hay loft to my 2x3 cages but havent found any good instructors, care to share an insights on hay lofts?

I just used the connectors that come with it and clipped two grids together for the base of the haylot. I did experiment with putting a grid in the middle but when I tried it without it was pretty solid so left it without. because its also clipped with the connectors at back and sides as well it was quite sturdy, if you use cable ties then it wouldont work so you'de have to put one in the middle for support
