After a RSPCA home visit earlier this week, and everything going very well, I went with my girls to collect our 1st foster pigs! :<>

They are sisters and both are pregnant! @) So guess I'll be on here a lot more asking for advice. I've already checked out a lot of the old threads etc! They have come from a home were they started with 2,............ and you can guess the rest! grrrr Rochdale RSPCA have taken quite a few in from the woman and inspectors could possibly visiting her!

It's going to be difficult, they are gorgeous! But I really don't have room or funds to be taking on any more permanent piggies 8... Thought this would be a great way to have more piggies occassionally and help rehomers as well! :)

What lovely news, having baby pigs is always an exciting time! It is wonderful that these girls have you to support them through their pregnancies.

Tis fantastic to hear about your new foster piggies and that your settling into foster piggie parent life, they're both gorgeous girlies I esp love Tilda! Hope their pregnancy goes smoothly!

The girls have been out for a cuddle tonight! Weren't very keen on being picked out of their cages, but they are getting rather large! LOL! But were very happy when settled on knees, not bad considering we don't think there's been much human interaction!

But the best bit was feeling the babies moving! We got a bit over excited! :(|):(|)

Aw! That's great. Please keep us updated xx>>>

Are you sure? Have a feeling I could quite easily bore everyone with this! :))

x)x) I have the biggest soft spot for Himalayans! and these are 2 beautiful crested ones x)

Thank goodness your far away :))

Haha! No pignapping allowed or the RSPCA won't let us foster again! :)):))

They are simply beautiful; poor girls!

You'd better read up on pregnancy as the look pretty close to term to me!

Believe me, I have been! Since I got the phone call on Friday! :... LOL!

Have been checking out all your advice Wiebke, on old threads! :))

Couldn't believe how far along they were! ?/ But looking forward to it, even though at the beginning of this year we were guinea pig free and now there are 5 in th house! inbreeding

Congrats on getting your first fosters and sure have hit the ground running with 2 pregnancies too! Good luck with the them and keep us updated xx

They are beautiful! You must be so excited about finally fostering! I know you have wanted to do it for some time :)

Thank you! They are gorgeous girls, although very nervous, especially Georga!

Looking forward to our first piggy babies, but not sure what to expect due to them being inbred, but guess we have to start somewhere. Have prepared my daughters, but still hoping that all will be ok!

Aw what gorgeous ladies, I'm sure after the babies arrive these girls will have no problems finding forever homes! x)

Inbreeding is usually not a big problem for piggies, thankfully, as it happens so often. The rescue I help have had several litters of inbred piggies (mother-son, brother-sister) and all have been ok except one. Fingers are crossed!
