Siikibam
Senior Guinea Pig
Out lovely Fudge had to be helped over the rainbow on 1st January. I don’t have a clue what lead to this, and it was all very fast. But I am glad that we got to say goodbye to him before he toddled off. Especially so for my children. The eldest kept saying maybe he is just tired - when he wouldn’t eat.

I fell in love with Toffee and Fudge soon as I laid eyes on them. I got them when they were two months old.
Fudge soon showed himself to be a laid back piggy who took everything in his stride - especially when his friend Toffee would show off in front of him. Fudge would give him a look and continue with what he was doing. We coined the phrase ‘doing a Fudge’ where we ignore someone being (amusingly) silly or trying to get our attention.

He grew up into a very handsome boar with a white belly. He liked to cuddle and was Toffee’s safety blanket. When we had them out, Toffee would always gravitate towards him and want to sit next to him.

He refined the art of sleeping in the hay (literally) and went on to teach Toffee how to do it. I occasionally caught them napping near each other.
Toffee was the top pig but would squeak when Fudge stole his veg. That amused us no end. He was a few pennies short of the pound on occasion but I think that was all part of his ‘am I hovered’ facade
He was a very sweet boy who was a perfect intro to piggy ownership.
We miss him so much but I am glad I was with him to the end. Sleep tight Fudge
