Guinea pig slave
Senior Guinea Pig
Our sweet baby left for The Bridge last night and cannot believe she has gone 8...
Sheila came to us with Bruce in September of 2011 on a hot sunny day and became part of our much adored and loved piggy family.
Health issues started in May 2012 as she had lost weight but our Vet could find nothing wrong so we kept an eye on her weight but she remained the happy girl we adopted. She suffered a nasty bout of pleurisy in November last year and we fought to keep her going - she pulled through but the scar tissue left her susceptible.
Sadly, yesterday, Sheila had a turn for the worst and had to be syringe fed and appeared very weak, lay on her side last night and left for The Bridge with Bruce close by.
We'll miss your funny little noises when you walked, your ears that always looked too big for your head wiggling when you ate and the chooken legs you insisted on splaying after supper plonks.
The pain is surreal - you've just left for the Funeral home and will be back home with us on Thursday.
"The Angels at The Rainbow Bridge,
Wrote down our baby's birth,
And whispered as they closed the Book,
She's too beautiful for Earth.
There'll be a time I promise you,
When we'll meet at the other Land,
And shower you with cuddles,
Then maybe I'll understand..."
Run free baby girl, we love and miss you so much. We'll look after Bruce for you sweetie x>>
