The pig room is a bit warm today so I thought I'd test out my temporary space. When it's hot and I'm at work I always worry despite taking precautions, having PigCam and a wifi plug so I can put a fan on.

So, I've set up a temporary space in the coolest room in the house. I wanted to see how they are in it and make sure there wasn't any space for escaping or injuring themselves.

Jon Snow was well into it, trotting around, eating and drinking.

But Podrick, being Podrick isn't quite so sure. There could be eagles around...

Thanks @Mother Hubbard. He is isn't he, even when he has an orange stripe on his side and a green mouth. I can't understand why some people don't like pink eyed whites.

He's having some issues keeping weight on so they're getting bigger portions of everything lately. Jon takes advantage on it as much as he can.

Those eagles are ninjas in disguise, I'm telling you! They could be anywhere at any time or place. Gorgeous boy(s)!

You just never know. You could think you were safe, happily eating a leaf with a nice solid ceiling above and then whompf, you're off into the sky, in the claws of an eagle.

He did manage to squeeze around into the carboard house so he didn't have to stretch quite so far.

I was talking to someone today who said a little girl ran out screaming after seeing one of his red eyed piggies. I find red/pink eyed piggies just as stunning as those with brown etc. I treat them like any other piggy. Ps the threat of eagles is real Podrick! Be afraid be very afraid.

That's right, never take risks Podrick, I'm with you on this one. The eagles are real. I've seen them. The humans don't understand.

They can hear your thoughts so I have made a hat made of hay to block their signals.

We must go underground, under the fleece where they'll never find us!

I'll be in touch, don't let your guard down.

Bellatrix.

My little Lucky is a pink eyed white and Snowy is a red eyed white Rex. I'm sure that Lucky has vision issues though...I adore red/pink eyed whites.

Yes, house eagles are very real. I wonder if piggies mistake eagle claws for human hands when they are picked up?

I know Comet does.

I think they do. Podrick is okay with me picking him up but I always have to tell him I'm coming into the room first or else he runs from my hand.

Jon Snow's vision seems to be okay, but he does suffer in sunlight. I always have to leave a curtain partly drawn so it doesn't make him squint.

I'm not showing Jon to my girlies...they have a thing about red eyed whites (Snowy). I know that he would become a pinup sensation instantly, and would demand pics of him all around the cage

I love white ones with red eyes, but I worry about lethals. Wish there was something to check for, to tell you if it is, or isn't.

You can usually tell with lethals @Tiamolly123 . It was obvious when I got Jon that he wasn't.

They tend to have teeth issues, such as wonky teeth or missing teeth. And theh can have eye problems too, having misshapen or missing eyes.

Boys are gorgeous  hop it gets cooler for them soon!
