Outdoor run issues

Hi everyone,

My 2 guinea pigs went on the grass for the first time today but seem very reluctant to come out of their little house. Has anyone got any tips for encouraging them to come out and eat/run around?

They'll be wary of the new environment. You could try covering part of the run, but they will just need time to get used to it. Almost like when you bring them home at first. They will love it eventually.

Covering the cage is a good idea as @Reenie had already suggested.and have lots of hideys they can run between so that they feel safe in their new environment. It'll take a while for them to get used to it and then they will bolt at the usual noises like cars going by until they understand that nothing is going to hurt them.
