Hi, I'm new to being a guinea pig mum, and i want to know more about how much time they should have outside and what the hutch should be like. Thank you much appreciated.

If you are planning on housing your guineas outside permanently then it would be best to get them a large wooden hutch with a lot of hay if you live somewhere cold most of the year, however if you're housing your guinea pigs inside and just want them to spend time outside when it's warm, you should get a run with a lot of ventilation so they can get some cool air, hope this helps! :)

My boys live in a large hutch with a run attached and are allowed to go into and out of the run as they like (so long as I'm in and can keep an eye on them and the weather is nice). Make sure to provide ice bottles in old socks in the summer, you can also hang a damp tea towel over the mesh door to cool the air. In the winter, add loads and loads of hay everywhere and put snuggle safe microwaveable pads underneath, especially at night. If it is very cold you should bring them inside during the night in a carrier that is large enough for them to both lie down in with room to spare.
Welcome to the wonderful world of piggies! x
