I would love being able to bring my piggies out in the summer and my dad and I agreed we would build a large mesh run so we can rotate between the piggies, my rabbit and the ferrets to have playtimes outside. But in the meantime, I was wondering if it would actually be safe to just have them roam the whole backyard under supervision and I can go around putting bricks under the fence wherever there are holes (my past dog dug out a couple of holes that we never got around to covering up). We have no pesticies or dangerous plants or anything bad for them in the yard so that wouldn't be a worry. :))

I personally wouldn't allow them out without anything to protect them.

Piggies are very vulnerable creatures - I would keep them in a sturdy run, with a lid.

All sorts of animals give attacking piggies a go :(

hi
i suppose it depends on the area where you live. Mine are always supervised but bunnies get free roam. I dont have enough room to to section an area off.. but beware! it can take hours to get them back in lol..I dont know what kind of housing you have for the piggies, but i sometimes use the tops from my cages to go on the grass

I had just thought of that. :... I usually don't see too many little animals around except for some birds but I wouldn't want to risk it.

:)) I think I'll have to get them a run. They're already super skittish trying to catch them in their cage. I have a C&C cage but they're above my rabbits cage etc, I wouldn't be able to take it apart each time. :(
