Should i or shouldnt i put my piggies in their run today for a munch on the grass today as its so nice i worry incase they get colds

Yeah I'm sure a few hours wont hurt, just make sure the grass isnt soaking If its been raining recently? Just remember to put a little house/hide-out in for them incase they get too cold. :)

they have one of the traingle runs with the shelter bit will do there gonna love it

My grass is still really wet so I have been out with a pair of scissors and cut a big bowl full of grass and brought it in for my piggies. - Much to my neighbour's amusement, he thinks my lawn mower is broken! x

Yeah I just did that! My grass is still wet so I cut some and put it on a plate for them! They ran to it so fast I think it was all gone before I got out and shut the door in the garage :))

What a great idea - i might get out there with my scissors too. Just need to check though, we put weedkiller on our lawn at the beginning of last summer - will it be ok now for the piggies?

i put some of my piggies out today in the run on a bit of board
and left a bit of lawn for them to nibble on at the end they loved it
only put them out for an hour and a half though while i gave there huts
a really good clean

Put mine out today, they loved, but when i got them back in their bowl of pellets had three slugs in it!

I do that ... cut grass with scissors. I always feel a little shy about neighbours seeing me, but they know about all my piggies ... and the noise they make when they smell the grass!

Bring on the warm, dry weather, I say! :):)

Anyway, I always check the dryness or wetness of the grass with my hand before putting my piggies in the run. If it is wet, then I don't do it.

If the sun is out and they are left for only a short period of time, have a towel down to lie on and a cover over, then I say go for it ... a bit of fresh air and fresh grass never did anyone any harm!

I've been giving my piggies a handful of grass for the last few days although I don't cut it with scissors just pull it like they would if they were out on the grass - my lawn is too boggy at the moment but I have been known to dry wet grass with a towel first before putting them out - I know how sad is that the neighbours must think I'm totally mad and you were all thinking about scissors - towels is a lot funnier :)
