If I set up a run outside and sat with my piggies would it be okay to let them on the grass? What subtances are posonous to them that can be on grass? How long should they be out in the sun?

Thanks :)

Lawn feeder, weed killers and products meant for the garden e.g. help things grow, kill plants, slug pellets are all poisonous to you guinea. Your guineas shouldn't be in direct sunlight. Most people cover half the run, so it is in the shade and leave the other half uncovered. They also put tunnels and other hideouts in the run, these having quite a few benefits. Also when it gets to hot in the warmer months many owners put frozen water bottles, tubs or the ice blocks that are meant for cooler bags in the run and/or hutch. :)

Also for the first time on the grass, no more than an hours. Or maybe cover the grass for a while if you can as too much grass can cause bloat

Buttercups are poisonous. Mine have eaten quite a few daisies but I read recently they shouldn't have these either.

They'll be fine if like us the only care you take on the lawn is cutting it when you can no longer find even the rabbits it's that long.... We leave ours out for as long as we're out. Sometimes minutes, sometimes a full day. Just provide them with shade and water.
