Ovarian Cyst

Not sure if anyone can give advise, paid for my little guinea pig to have a scan over a week ago as she was showing signs of having an ovarian cyst, was told the cyst wasn't stuck to any of her organs so she had her operation today, but just been told by the vet the cyst was stuck to her kidney ! I said cant you just drain the cyst but been told it would just fill back up and hasn't offered me any other alternative treatment, just hope the vets aren't fobbing me off as they aren't an Exotic Vet :-( should I get an alternative opinion ? are there any other alternative treatments?

There are alternative treatments with a hormone injection and draining. However it depends on the kind of cyst that has been found as to whether a good cavy savvy vet would recommend either of these. Try our vet locator if you are keen to get a second opinion
