Hi,

I have 2 little boys and the older one (Gus) is getting very frisky with the little one Paddy! There is about 8 months or so between them but am just a bit worried about Paddy...He seems to shake Gus off but Gus is very persistent. I'm hoping that as Paddy gets bigger Gus will back off a little. Do you think this is a problem or quite common?! I have a hutch with 2 levels so I could make sure they have some time on their own each day?

Advice very much appreciated! x

it sounds very normal,i have 8 boars and have never had this problem but i have heard of it many times;),its just dominance behaviour and in time should settle,as long as there isnt any fights or blood drawn then dont worry to much xxxxxxxxxxxxx

this should help in the future if you need it

Gus has just hit the hormones; this is very normal behaviour.

Oh heck yeah this is so boars rolleyes
I had two adorable boars that loved each other to bits but one kept erm humping the other, so separated them, but they still lived with a mesh divider between them and they also had floor time together......boys are boys sometimes mallethead:(|)
If you notice scabs or other agreesive behaviour you would consider separating them (like i had to) it's also as others have said piggie behaviour like who's the BOSS PIG :)
Best of luck if anything else happens put up a thread and i'm sure everyone will help you. Loves to those rascals Gus and Paddy xx>>>xx>>>

2 of my boys are the same.. sometimes they will show their dominance at the situation, but nothing to worry about.

Like already has been said, just keep an eye for blood being drawn.

Hope they settle down soon for you x

Hi,

Thank you to everyone for your advice, feel so much better now! Paddy does get very upset if he is left on his own at any point so he can't be that fed up of him! x
