Over Heard Woman At The Vets....

Ok so I was at the vets this morning having Ollie checked over after his op. I was in the waiting room and a woman came in to talk about her dog. She was saying she spends £250 a month on it and then she said "sometimes I say to my dog 'I don't no why I don't just get rid of you and get 3 Guineapigs. It'd only cost me about £10 a month!" I sat there thinking you have no clue lady. I spend at least £10 a week!

Haha people really don't understand how much our little furballs cost when they are cared for properly!

LOL! My two pigs cost far more to maintain and care for than my friend's two cats! I think people underestimate the cost dramatically (or are the type of owner who decide that small animals are disposable and don't require medical care, which just makes me mad!)

If only. I don't think any animal cost that little, maybe mice or hamsters as they eat less? I have no idea.

My gerbils cost next to nothing but the piggies are expensive!

My guinea pigs have cost me more at the vets in the 3 years I have had them than my 15 and half year old dog. Mind you she is catching up now as she has weekly hydrotherapy sessions on her back leg.
