i was meant to post this here but accidentally posted it in general chat hope its ok to repost here xx

I'm soo happy right now i just need to share this with you guys because my family just dont understand why I'm so happy.

we moved to a new house last month and its not very big and i dont have any room for the guinea pigs cage except next to my 1 year olds cot which is not ideal at all! so hubby said we had to rehome my 2 baby girls , i contacted crawley rescue who said they would take in my 2 girls and while i was trying to get my mum to drive me there i had an idea, i could buy an outside hutch and in the winter i could put their hutch in our shed that my hubby uses. so.. after talking him round he has said yes and i can now keep my 2 precious girls! I'm so happy its unreal i cried happy tears! just wanted to share with you all because I'm sooo happy and my family just look at me like I'm a crazy person x

Awww that's great.

I think it's safe to say everyone here understands. It would be no different to giving up a dog, we get so close to them.

YAY! I cried when my boyfriend agreed to get a friend for my piggy so don't worry happy tears for piggies is just fine.:p I love animals and my pets are my babies and I would never want to get rid of them so I can definitely relate!

What wonderful news! You feel horrible when you have to give up your beloved pets through no fault of your own, so it is great when you can find a solution to hang onto them.

I have been there myself when I had to rehome my surprise babies from a pregnant shop sow to a rescue due to a major illness in the family and the logistics just not working out. I cried all the way home. Needless to say that I have gone strictly rescue since!
