Over Weight Piggie

Ive just weighed my 2 new pigs and they are both over weight but one is weighing 1132g any weightloss tips
 
Just because they weigh 1132g does not mean they are overweight and need to lose weight at all. If you feel that your guinea may be overweight then I would seek veterinary advice on how to manage it. We have had many pigs on the forum over this weight. My late Peter up until his final year weighed around 1200g but was never fat
 
Are they moving around okay? Happy and active. 1132g is a fine weight for a piggy. We had a girl called Vimto she was 1.5kg at her heaviest she was just large framed you could feel how big she was in comparison to our other girls. She was actually the most active of our piggies always on the go she was just a 'Big Pig'

Yep and some pigs are long on top of that. I was amazed when we got Donald... only 9 months old and already over 1kg :eek:... he's definitely going to be a big pig
 
My Hettie is 1.3 kg but she is much longer and just bigger overall than Tilly was.

Her tummy maybe a tad rotund though :whistle:
 
Yea I think maybe Tia & Tatty are maybe a bit to heavy. I did cut down there pellets, but there weight dropped drastically. So I stopped doing it.

Yeah she moves around okay she is jist a awful lot bigger than my other 3
