Dental Overlapping Teeth!

My little 3 year old boy Harvey lost a lot of weight without us even realising because we hadn't weighed him for awhile. We took him to the local vets in which they told us as we suspected that our little boys teeth were quite overgrown. Harvey was given baytril and they advised me to give x2 doses of 0.2ml to him a day through a syringe. We scheduled for his teeth to be filed two days later when he was under anaesthetic but I know how much of a risk it was, especially with how much weight he had already lost. Since I got him home I discovered syringe feeding through the method on here and haven't stopped since. It seems to have really perked him up and brought him back to life (so to speak). He is more than happy to syringe feed so I have no hassle.
Since then we have got in contact with specialist vets in the area as the local vets only usually operate on larger animals such as dogs and cats. The soonest we could find an oppointment for him to have his teeth filed is a week yesterday which we have booked.
What I am wondering is, is there anything I could add to what I'm already doing in the mean time to help him even more? I have been hand feeding him Science Selective pellets mashed up with water and Pro-C Probiotic 100gm from pets at home in with his feed. I have no baytril left to give him in the meantime but would it benefit him if I could get it?

If anyone could also advise a good vets for this issue it would really ease my mind! As I don't have a lot of selection In Wales for my little piggy but his current operation is booked with Parkway Surgery Swansea, Lance Jepsen.

I think Lance is the most recommended vet in your area.

My first thought would be pain relief as his mouth may be sore if his teeth are overgrown, do you think your usual vet would consider it?

That's great I just wanted to make sure that Harvey had the best I could give him.

He does seem in discomfort - making noises with his teeth constantly
I could ask them in the morning - i wouldn't of even thought of that..

His paws seem a little sore also

How do you mean? could it be Bumblefoot? what is he bedded on?

He's been bedded on hay and most recently I've started using some Carefresh. I'm not entirely sure it seems like it might be. His front paws seem swollen and his back seem fine but a little red. Lance Jepson is not available until Wednesday and it turns out that's for consultation, not for Harvey's op because he needs to see him first. I'm really not sure what to do at this point it just seems to be piling up and getting scary!

I know getting appointments with Lance can be a nightmare as he splits his time between different branches of the practice. Would you consider trying to get him to Simon or Kim at the Cat and Rabbit clinic in Northampton?
