One of my new additions, Glinda, seems to be putting on weight rather rapidly! Her 'sister' Elphie is putting on weight as I'd expect - she's 725g, she's a small pig but a healthy weight at 5 months. However, Glinda is a similar age (slightly older, I believe) but she weighs 917g! She's heavier than the three other girls, who are nearly a year old!

She's quite active, but I'm concerned about her weight. She's not pregnant. Do you think I should be worried? Do we need to try and adjust her diet? It could be tricky as altering her diet could negatively impact Elphie. :{

All piggies wiegh differently, most of my adult sows weigh about 1000g but one i know needs to loose weight. I wouldnt worry providing your piggie is eating/drinking ok and fine in herself. Shes still growing at the moment, so i wouldnt panic too much. Just keep an eye on the wasteline rather than the weight.

x.
