I've never really thought much about Frazzle's weight but people keep commenting on how big he is.

I was giving him a cuddle yesterday and flipped him on his back. And well. I have to admit he is a big piggy! But he doesn't feel flabby or wobbly. It's all 'hard'. So does that mean he's fine? He weighs between 1.4kg-1.5kg.

I'm not sure what breed he is, been told he looks texel/swiss cross like, just mentioning in case that makes a difference!

When he walks on a flat surface is his tummy ever so slightly off the ground? If so hes just a big chunky boy. Theres lots of them about and it will be his bone structure. Please can I have a photo?I love chunky boys

I'll watch him when he wakes up to see if his belly drags. But for now here's a picture of it :D

He looks healthy to me. I would not worry what people say. Amina is a similar breed to Frazzle and looks big too although she eats less then some of her sisters.

He's a cutie! As long as he is active and his tummy isn't dragging on the ground he's fine. My George has always been big, averaging around the same weight as Frazzle, he has a very long body so he's all in proportion. Lovely chunky pigs!

Ed, my swiss, is reaching a similar size! He doesn't look fat, he's all in proportion just chunky. He doesn't overeat or get overfed either so I think it's just his natural stature. He is in much better condition now than when I first got him so I'm not overly worried.

I have another baby swiss, Boris and he's getting to be quite a size already too!

Dudley is between those weights to and I agree people comment on him being a large boy, hes on a bit of a diet now as the vet said he may need to loose a little to help ease his back leg when it flares up, but its very hard monitoring his food intake whent here is 2 in the cage.

I have a female who 4yrs and weighs in at 1575g. She feels 'squidgey' when being cuddled. She isn't as active as she used to be but her belly doesnt touch the floor. When she last visited the vets the only comment the vet made about her size was that she must be 'well-loved' and laughed when she poked her in the belly. :))

Ha! My vet said Terry looked 'well loved' and he's only about 1.1kg :p she may have a fright seeing frazzle since she neutered him when he was 8 months .. !

Some piggies are just big lads! (Or lasses, like my Glinda)

When my Dad was young, he had a male guinea pig who was a whopper. He was huge, both in weight and general size. Some pigs are just beasts :))

My vet said that Ringo was a 'big boy' and he was only 1.1kg! He'd have died had he weighed Freddie...1.4Kg!
