We have received a letter today stating that the price of Oxbow products is to rise by a minimum of 17.5% as of the 1st August 2010 due to the increase in shipping costs. I have asked them to forward us their new price list asap so we can see the impact it will have on the customer, but it looks like it will mean at least a £10 increase on a 22kg box

That's really annoying and I can see me switching.

This years UK hay crop is going to be nice and dry but scarcer than other years apparently (the lady at the farm told me)

So even with the hike in UK prices it will still work out cheaper than Oxbow and be nice dry quality. I'm sad but it's not the end of the world. Oxbow will lose my business when the 17% hike goes on (except for special treat bags)

Apparently their shipping costs have risen by 58% so they are passing 17.5% of that onto the consumer. I will let you know what it all means price wise as soon as I hear any more.

But just for an extra bit of info their rrp now on one of the 22kg boxes of Orchard grass is meant to be £85.99 so online stores DO sell it at significantly less than what they currently advise.
