I have just bought this run, and the pigs love it. When it came to getting them out again, I realised how difficult this was as they bolted into the house bit (no floor in there) and there is no access to this. So I had to lift the whole thing up and guess what.. One ran in one direction, and the other ran in the opposite direction, so me and o/h had a job catching them. I think I have made a mistake with this one. :{ Any ideas would be welcome. xx

Maybe if oh is handy you could fashion a lift off roof for the enclosed area

Idea

If you are good at making things you could always try and make a small door on the side of the compartment so that you can get them out without lifting it up.

Lol, my o h is the unhandiest person I know! But thanks, I think that is probably going to be the answer. x

All you need is a piece of wood to cover the hole into the house. WHen you go up quickly put the pice of wood in front of it keeping the piggies in the open run...

A piece of plywood from B and Q cost £1.50 at the most... I have one for the rabbits wendy house...
If the piggies are in the house already then you could tempt them out into the grassy area with their fave food and then block the hole?

Thanks Jane, that sounds good, I think my problem at the moment is I have only had my boys a very short time and although they are getting much better daily, they bolt for cover still, so getting close to the run is difficult without them running into the hole. Think what I may do is cover the hole for a while, make sure they have plenty of cover in the outside bit, and maybe leave them there to get used to the movement in the garden. xx

Just had another thought, could you remove the panel containing the hole so shade is still provided and put your own hidey holes in there might make catching them that bit easier

Piggiesforever, that really is a good idea, because that is hinged and would come off very easily. I could put hidey holes in as you say. Brilliant! Why have I only just read this now, I am on a 14 hour shift tomorrow, so will try Friday afternoon, weather permitting. Thanks. xx

Ah right so yours still run when you try to catch them do they? Then def take the front off...
Mine hate being caught to and it is like the wacky races trying to get them!
