P@H get it WRONG

that is what I'm thinking 2, its just crazy that large stores like that can make such silly mistakes and get away with it, at the end of the day my girlie isnt going back to them and they know it, ive well and truly got a connection with her and i know i sound strange saying that but its true, if she has babies i will do all i can for them and take it from there i guess, she is looking a bit round now ive had a look at her and her teats seem enlarged so I'm starting to think that maybe she was pregnant when i got her and poss not from the male i got her with, but in that case she could be ready to have her babies sooner than I'm thinking, OMG i hope all goes well with her
 
hi, i had the same thing with p@h, not once, but twice!the first P@H shop manager DID pay for our Fudgie's op. we couldn't let him go, he is such a wuss. the second P@H were complete numpty's and refused to acknowledge any responsiblity for their error. as a result, all of our 5 girls had babies, and we had 17 babies, pets at home did supply us with food & hay for our extra mouths while they were here. so a little persistance and talking to the right man, may just pay off. it's worth a go, i know all P@H are different, and I guess we just got lucky with ours. good luck with your little ladies pregnancy:) :)
 
If you can get a pic tomtom we'd all like to have a look.
If shes looking bulgy then it sounds like she is.
If shes kinda normal shaped on her front end and then looks like shes swallowed a ball, by which i mean same shape either side of her tum then she most deffo is.
But godd luck. You are going to love having the bubbies around
 
Just seen this thread, hope all goes well at the vets, its horrid when animals get sick. Fingers crossed for you both.

I had a piggie from PAH (3 years ago and before I knew about this site and how many rescues there are) who was pregnant when I got her. Luckily she was ok and had 2 little piggies, 1 male who went to live with a friends boar and 1 female who I kept.
 
i got back from the vets at 5.30 but ive only just sorted myself out enough to be able 2 come online,
Sadly when we got to the vets Bettie had taken a turn for the worse and as soon as the vet saw her he said that she didnt look good,
she had a high temp and laboured breathing, i told him the full story about what had been going on and after a thoruogh examination he concluded that Bettie had toxic shock from a dead baby inside her, but within minutes and infront of our eyes she she died in my arms, i am totally devastated and my eyes are hurtin from the tears,
RIP my little Bettie boo

Oh no, tomtom, I'm so sorry to read that :( . Poor Bettie :( .

Maybe you could get your boar back from the rescue? You could rescue a suitable companion for him too?

i had spoken 2 a lady last week about getting 2 more babies so i could make a colony and she emailed me tonight to ask if i still wanted them as she has two babies that she said i can have without charge as she was so sorry to hear about what has happened, I'm happy to have them as i have truly fallen in love with guineas but I'm worried that people will think i am being disloyal to Bettie,
I will never forget Bettie and in the small amount of time she was in my life i felt truly blessed to have her in my life
 
Just caught up with this, I am so sorry your little girl didn't make it. Sweet dreams little one.
