I know a lot of people have a problem with P@H and I must admit Ive tried not to go in there for food or hay and try and get it in other places but I needed to get some Muesli last night as I had run out and my babies love it.

I stopped off at P@H and got a large bad of premium muesli, got home, my babies were going mad with excitment, not to see me I might add but knowing the veggies were coming.... and I opened the bag to find loads of little moths flying out, I neearly threw up.

I quickly closed the bag and sealed it back up, apologised to my babies and gave them spinach as a treat instead.

Guess where I will be stopping tonight to voice my disgust?? :)>>>

blergh thats disgusting *vomit* have you tried pellets we always used to get selective feeding on museli

Yeah they have pellets everyday, the muesli is a treat for them but I had run out, I will be checking the bad BEFORE I leave the store tonight

Aparantly it's quite common to find moth larvae in bags of muesli. Even Sainsbugs had to remove stuff from shelves a few years ago as people were finding moths in their morning cereal! :)>>>

My sister got a shock a few months ago on looking inside her hamsters hidey to find several moths in there; again, came from his muesli.

Far better to buy the nuggets, no selective feeding and no risk of moths. ;)

I had a bag from there before ( a different make) and was absolutly fine, thought I would try the premium but obviously not, I will be getting a different one or a refund tonight

They feed off the wheat pieces in the food!
They are horrible tho!

This has soo put me off eating Muslie now :(

Look at it this way - the bit with the moths, maggot in the apple, etc probably hasn't been sprayed by chemicals. Nice bit of pesticide soons puts a stop to all those nasties!:)>>>
