hello just some information of interest as regards feed we usually feed burgess but as we had a bag of P@H we thought we would use it before buying some more. we have noticed that a. humphrey and rocky dont like it so we have to feel them supliments and b. they have (all 6 pigs) lost a little bit of weight
(25-35g) over a week so i guess it pays to stick to a food they like

I used to buy P@H nuggets when on offer when they went up i bought burgess as they were the same price but my piggie's hated them, i then got given wagg optimum and they snaffle it down i think they like the smaller pieces. I first fed museli but they didnt eat all of it so i got free samples (or discount's) of lot's of nuggets by emailing the companies.

Mine cant stand the pets at risk food or hay! they wont toutch it and look at me like ive offered them a turd!

Wagg musli seems to be there favourite. I also get guinea pig supreme from wilkos and mix them together!

our two were from p@h and so were fed from them on nuggets so we carried it on
our two love it, but with all the recent problems with p@h we are trying other foods, not found nuggets yet that we want to risk trying them on (eg tesco - i wont eat their food myself cos find it disgusting so my piggies shouldnt have to either)
we have some muesli stuff from wilkinsons and they seem ok with it, we are mixing half and half, but cos muesli does often cause selective eating we dont wanna have them on that really,

wanna try diff nuggets than p@h cos wanna get away from them

I feed my two six month old boys a mixture of burgess excel nuggets and burgess excell with blackcurrant and oregano

They adore the burgess with blackcurrant and oregano but its not easy to get hold of here and its bloomin expensive so I just sprinkle a bit on top!

I've never tried P@H guinea food but did once get a sample bag of their rat nuggets which was met with disgust and got thrown away :)

my piggies have always preferred burgess excel to p@h nuggets. we used p@h nuggets first then decided to try excel cos the ingredients looked slightly better to me and the piggies loved them

When we first got Malteaser, she was a P@H pig so I decided to put my (then three) girls on the P@H stuff. They were eating Burgess before that. They completely refused the Burgess and snaffled the P@H Pellets!

The P@H pellets went up in price and at £19 for 10 kilos it is far from worth it! So we've been on Wagg Optimum now for about 2-3 months and all of the piggies love it! Fill up the bowls at night and we have a lot of very happy piggies! The Wagg has gone down a treat.

Mine love pets at home nuggets and refuse select science and an expensive brand I found!

My piggies love the P@H nuggets but I'm a stingy mummy who only gives them a little bit each day, they get plenty of fresh veg and hay, dont want to have fat piggies!:))

I dont trust P@H, so i would never feed any of my animals food from the shop. Just my personal opinion tho. I would stick to what they like, seems to work best.

x.

Mine have always have P@H nuggets and they love it. I've tried them on Burgess, but they didn't touch it. I think its just what they get used to.

Mine eat pets at home, recently received a sample of the supreme science nuggets in the purple bag, mixed with the pets at home stuff and from day one the supreme science stuff disappeared 1st, so thought I'd put that at the bottom of the bowl and cover with pets at home, guess what they dug for the supreme science stuff lol, so at the mo I put mainly pets at home in and a sprinkle of the science stuff, just until the pets at home nuggets have gone.
They are the only 2 foods ive tried so far:))

I use Burgess Super Guinea Excel Biscuits they are specially formulated for guineea pigs wwith the correct nutritional values recommended by vets too - some guinea pig mixes have sugar and fattening ingredients.

I also use Burgess Timothy Hay - I find their products very high quality and my piggies love their stuff

I wouldnt give my piggies anything else...........they have shiny coats and bright healthy eyes too

None of mine have liked p@h, or burgess, fed them on gerty for a long while then I found out there were a lot of additive etc (call me naive but I never thought to check a pet food for them) and now we're back to wagg which I used to buy when a bit short of cash or when i got caught out cos asda and p@h sell it but these love it and dont leave anything, I'm gonna try them on the premium wagg stuff cos it is meant to be good too :)
