P@H snuggle pouch good for feeding and giving meds

Hi Guys,
P@H do a fleecy pouch with a cord. the idea is you can pop your piggies round your neck and walk with them rolleyes. In reality it is not really big enough for full grown chunky boys (possibly a baby or small sow) to walk round with but i have found it works really well for giving difficult piggies their meds and syringe food rather than towel wrapping (which all my boys escape from!) i sit down pop the pouch round my neck and pop the piggies bum first in and they rest their paws on the top lip and if they push their head back it only goes against my chest or arm and they can't really squirm about. it's just a normal snuggle sack but the cord gives you your hands free. They are about £10 but now it takes me 30 sec to do freddies meds rather than 10 mins! I have looked at all the advice sheets and tried everything but this I found works a treat. :) also helps calm them a little too. hope this helps some of you
 
Great tip. Any chance of a pic? Maybe one with a piggy in it and one without - I may be able to run one up myself on the sewing machine.

Will get some tonight it is really quite cute with freddies little paws and piggie lips poking over the edge drool! (previously covered in Metacalm from fidget bum's naughtiness!) rolleyes :))
 
Sounds like it would be good for little wrigglers! I don't wrap pigs for meds/syringe-feeds, I have a few difficult ones but tend to get to them before they know what is coming. :))

One sow I boarded absolutely flipped out whenever meds had to be given, never seen anything like it (beautiful girl but wow, so strong willed). Next time I come across a very difficult pig I have my restraint bag lined up - and will bear the snuggle pouch in mind too. :)
 
Well freddie was a nightmare even nipped me would wait till i was about to push the plunger then move his head back! i had to be really really firm when i held him and it really distressed him and me! Smokey on the other hand just lifts his lip i almost don't have to pick him up now for his heart meds! will post the piccies tonight :)
