Those of you on Facebook may have seen these, but I had to share them!

Paddy loves swimming, but well, isn't very good at it! So I got him a life jacket! He can now swim really well with it on and he has a great time!

I love him more than anything in the world ever (even the OH knows this! ;) )

I was gutted when he started ageing recently - he's almost 11 now (he was my 14th birthday present!) and has been slowing down on walks, struggling to complete our longer walks and things. My mum's dog (molly in the photos) had a therapeutic canine massage as she's an agility dog and suddenly stopped jumping full height for some reason, and I thought it was a load of nonsense. It turns out that the woman picked up a lot of things that Molly does, massaged her, and fixed them! I took Paddy for an assessment and she picked up on his tight bits, so he went for a massage.... and I came home with a completely different dog! He hadn't jumped in the car for 6+ months...the day after his massage, he hopped straight in!

He's back to running at full speed, at full stride...we went on our long walk around the woods the other day, and he not only kept up the whole way round, he was running up ahead the whole time. I was warned that he may be a bit stiff after his swim... not a chance! In the car on the way home, he was most upset that we hadn't been for a walk (they were supposed to be tired!) so we stopped by the common next to the airport so they thought they'd had a walk...where he spent the next 30 minutes running top speed around the place, chasing the planes that were coming in to land! Today, no stiffness what so ever, he was ready and raring to go for his walk - we did the long route around the woods with no problems at all.

So at nearly 11, he's not actually as old as he looks! And to keep it that way, he's going to have regular swims. He had to have a health check prior to his swim, and the vets words were "disgustingly healthy" :))

Wow! That's actually amazing! More people should be aware of this because it obviously helps, how lovely :)
