I don't normally give my pets too many treats, but thought this would have been lovely for them & I could refill it with hay to keep them occupied. Just went to check on them & so glad I did! Poor Marble had managed to get her head stuck inside it! It was pretty tight on as well, there's no way she'd have got it off by herself.

This is the item in question: Quiko Fitness Foodball Carrot

Poor Marbs was a bit shaken up, but she's had a snack & gone to snuggle with her sisters. Thankfully I went in! It's not done her any harm by the looks of it. I definitely won't be getting these again. PaH shouldn't be advertising these as safe treats, it would be so easy for an animal to get caught in it :(

Thanks for the warning. Pets at home sell many un-safe treats. Thank goodness Marble is ok.

Oh my word, that's terrible. Thank you for warning us about this...I don't give my boys treats but this is something I would of considered buying if I was to get them a treat. Glad to hear Mabel is ok and non the worse for her ordeal.
Kell.

Oh no thank you for the warning! My Kasper got his head stuck in one of the willow balls filled with hay. Thankfully I was next to him when it happened :(

oh dear, thats awful, my piggies have one of these....luckily that has never happened (luckily my piggies have big heads ), but will deff keep an eye out as mine love theirs x

Glad that your piggie Marble is ok after her ordeal, just as well you were at home.
Do you think that PAH should be made aware of this product if it has the potential to harm.

I've left a message on their FB page, they've asked me to send details to their customer service team. I hope they take it seriously. It's perhaps one of those things that shouldn't be left in a cage unsupervised. At the moment I'm checking on them all a few times a day as our Syrian Hamster is getting on a bit now, I just like to make sure he's comfortable & I like to top up hay etc for the piggies and bunny. Poor Marbs looked so sad with it on her head, it was so tight! I've been looking into different hays and veggies to give as treats from now on, I'm sure they will be happy with that! :))

Hey Macho. I'm so sorry your sweet little piggie got stuck :/. I know you left a message on their fb. But my mom has always written to companies about either a complaint or even a positive comment! Please email the company because even if they made a crappy treat, sometimes companies can surprise you!
