Hi,

I have mentioned Pepe a number of times. She had cancer at the start of the year. She had a hysterectomy. She is poohing wet poops and is straining and give the odd cry. She shudders as she poops.

I have taken her to the vet already with the problem some weeks ago. It was just wet she was not crying. It has settled and returned a number of times.

Tonight it is pretty bad for her. I have given her some probiotics. I have metacam, is it worth trying some or while she can still poop leave her to it. I am not sure what the vet can do. I think I will get her in tomorrow morning, but if the main vet is not there it could be fruitless tomorrow.

Today my hubby put them on the lawn to clean the hutch, I think grass is bad for her bottom but he was adamant her poops were bad before she went on the lawn.

Should I give her critical care?

My boy has difficulty poo'ing when his poo's are soft. I'd give her hay, hay and more hay. The grass may not have helped the problem if she already had loose stool. She may well get a bit bloaty.

No harm in giving a top up, is she eating herself? rather than feed my boy critical care I have him out with a huge pile of hay he seems to immediately eat, I secretly think he's trying to fool me. :)). He however still has a healthy appetite but seems to have an extra healthy appetite when out.

If you think her eating has decreased I would give a small top up. x

Pepe is much better today, I am really pleased. I worry about her cancer. I guess her hysterectomy has really sensitised her bowels. They are on hay diets to avoid too many nuggets and veg. I am to blame as they love their food. They don't get it out the fridge and off the shelf themselves. I am weighing their food, hay is always in abundance anyway and less veg. Especially Pepe. She does come up to me for it and licks my hands or my nose.

I feared she was dying of bowel cancer. I am much more positive now. X

Poor Pepe. I would get her checked over by the vet. Crying when weeing could be the sign of a uti possibly, worth speaking to the vet about some metacam as this would help with the pain and reduce any inflammation that may be causing pain when she passes poos. Lots of healing vibes to your special little girl
