Our girls live outside and whilst we have only had them for just over three months my husband thinks it would be sensible to repaint the home before winter, (although obviously they would be moved into somewhere if it's really cold etc) to keep the wood as protected as possible, has anyone used a specific paint or treatment?
Thank you in advance

I used some left over shed paint. It works really well. You can also use some funky colours! Hope this helps.

Thank you, I was looking at the cuprinol shed paint, we've always used it and it seems to be the best option.

Check the label when you go to buy a new tin, just in case they've changed the mix since I last bought some. Last years tin still says believed to be animal safe when dry.

I use cuprinol shades or wickes garden colour, whichever is cheaper at the time. Cuprinol has more colours but the wickes one seems slightly better to apply.

Thank you that's good to know, looks like that's my weekend planned!

Before and after pics of the house we were given for the girls, not my best painting but happy that it's cleaned up ok. It's just for when they are in the big run but typically they seem to think hiding under instead of in is a better choice! May need to reposition it!
