My room is getting decorated and we might start painting today but I was wondering if it is safe for the piggies to be in the room when the paint is drying or if they should be moved to the living room or something?

Personally I would move them out of any room where there will be paint fumes or any other kind of chemical stuff that they can breathe in. I don't know if the fumes will harm them but i'm sure it won't be very pleasant for them and its always best to be on the safe side. :)

Right now we are re-decorating and the boys are being moved from room to room! A fan stays on in the room to get rid of any smells and also windows are constantly open in the room/s that are being painted :)

They are both in the living room on a table so the dog cant get to them. I think they wonder where they are :D

When we had the budgies he used to jump up on one of the seats and bark at them but he hasnt realiesd he can get up to the piggies thta way yet :D He doesn't mind them but he hated the budies ?

Hi I'm at Painter and Decorator

and there is no need to remove the piggy UNLESS !

1. Your going to drop paint on them i.e over there heads or ceiling !

or 2. if its an oil based paint of any kind i.e Gloss including white spirt or varnish !

otherwise Emulsion and water based paints will be quite safe !

They kept my mum up all night squeaking ;D
I dunno what type of paint it is for the woodwork but just keep them out still because it's too much bother moving them everytime we need to paint somewhere

if its for your wood wrok then it is probably oil based which is not good ?

so that was a wise move !

Just to say, that I move mine too because of the smell! It really gets down me, so hasten to think about my lot! It's emulsion :) :)
I wouldn't leave them in the room with any kind of paint while redecorating :)
