Hi everyone! Just a couple of questions you might be able to help me with!

Does anyone have an opinion on whether it is better to have a brother/sister pair of guinea pigs, or if it is better to have non-related guineas together?

Also, I paired up my guinea Pip (who seems to be getting lots of mentions on here recently) with a baby guinea, Mouse. There has never been any threat of fighting, but Pip just doesn't seem that keen on Mouse - she never wants Mouse to be close to her, and won't let her stay in the same nest box which is obviously what poor little Mouse wants!
Any thoughts? Do you think I should just get them different partners?

Personally i dont think it matters whether they are brothers or sisters as long as they have cavy friendship :)

Have your 2 piggies got a dome/house each ? :)

Yes, they have, and a lovely 6 ft hutch so there is plenty of room for them to be apart. I just think it's a shame when little Mouse obviously wants to be close, but Pip doesn't want it.

If you have such a lovely big hutch maybe you could consider getting another pig :) Some pigs are just more friendly to each other than others and like us some just need their space.
