I've just found out that Moonpig has a serious paper bag addiction. Our massive pile of 500 bags ( I bulk order, it's cheaper!) finally dwindled to zero on Sunday. I haven't got around to ordering any yet so the piggies have had a couple of bag free days and Moonpig has been looking decidedly down in the dumps. I was starting to worry about her until I dug a couple of rogue bags out of the cupboard and stuffed them with hay...and what to do know...instantly perked up piggie! :(|) Better get my Ebay order sorted or we'll have a seriously sulky princess on our hands. mallethead

Hee hee! Yes. :(|) Just ordered another 500, huge sigh of relief from the piggies. :laluot_11:

Maybe your piggies should go to an addicts anonymous group :')

"Hello I'm a guinea pig .. a-and ... i'm addicted .. to paper bags"

500!?! OMG.
What do they do with them and how do they get through so many - do they eat them or something?
I've not given my piggies a paper bag before but will have to invest if they are such a hit with yours - is there any particular paper bags that they prefer or any paper bag faux pas I should be aware of? :) x

My poor guinea's have this addiction too since you told me about the paper bags on ebay!

I leave the bags hanging on the shed door and when its open if the wind blows them the pigs go nuts and pop corn round even though they already have a bag in their hutch! inbreeding

I give them fresh paperbags everyday ( they get weed on pretty fast) stuffed with hay and usually with the tops folded over ( to help them stay open) and the ends cut off although if I don't cut the ends off some the piggies chew their own "back doors" into their paper bags. I make sure there's one each so that's three a day at the moment. They get stuffed with hay and the piggies spend most of the day chewing them, eating the hay, running through them, rustling them and sleeping in them. If you're a guinea pig there really is nothing quite like a paper bag to make you go "ahhh" and relax. I think it's their equivalent of a nice cup of tea. :(|) Whenever they go to the vets and have to stay for the day I always make sure ther's a paper stuffed with hay to go with their packed lunch :ALJFBQ00209070429A:
If you want to get some I've found this to be the best online shop, it's free delivery and it usually arrives next day.

What a sweet contented looking piggy face now that she has her paper bag! I find they are a big hit with my boys too. Unfortunately a rare treat though as so few shops use paper bags here. And for some reason the paper bags on our Ebay are very expensive.
