We are having a paper bag breakfast while we wait for piggy daddy to do the veg shopping, all we had left in the fridge was cucumber which is a bit boring, so I've chopped it small and served it in a bag of soft hay with a sprinkle of porridge oats!

Cage cleans can happen later once we have some nice leafy veg to scatter in the playpen :)

Such pretty guinea pigs. hay I love your ginger! I have a bit of a thing about ginger piggies. Do you have another photo of the Ginger piggy?

I've ordered a batch of paper bags from ebay! The hay gets stuck in my fabric hay bags. Not sure what I'm doing wrong? Am I filling it too full, or using the wrong hay? I keep ending up with a hollow where they've eaten it from the holes. So I'm going to give paper bags a go 👍🏻

Do you use paper bags all the time for your piggies?

We only use paper bags for treats and enrichment, they get them just for fun, there's usually porridge oats and herbs, or little bits of fruit if its for Ollie and Tallulah? hidden in there! For general everyday hay it goes in a big pile on the hayroom floor, the main herd have a designated 3x2 grid hayroom, and Ollie and Tallulah have a more modest 2x1 grid hayroom, as a permanent cage feature. We are big fans of messy free range hay :)
