Hi Everyone
This is my first post to the GPF - be gentle!
My 5 and half year old GP Dora has just been diagnosed with a papillary carcinoma..... she underwent surgery to try and remove the mass but alas the tumor was too attached and significant margins could not be obtained. Although they did remove around 75%. She is doing really well and the wound is healing nicely. Think all the 'Mummy Hugs' worked!
My question is have any of you guys out there come across this type of tumor and if so how did your GP's cope after surgery. I already know that it won't metastasise but just want an idea of what to expect post surgery. My vets are absolutely brilliant and have explained everything to me but there's nothing like talking to other Piggly People xx
Thanks everyone
