Paralysis tick

Duchess got bitten by a paralysis tick at some point today, despite the fact that I always dose her with Revolution monthly.
She is in a very advanced state...
There is nothing the vets can do for paralysis tick. All they can do is recommend that the animal rests, there is no antidote...

My mother wont stop abusing me for crying, according to her I am not allowed to have emotions when my little girl is dying... my mother has been abusive to me since the very begining of my existance, I only wish she would leave me alone now.

Regarding your mother, please speak out, whether it be to someone you do or don't know - I don't know what kind of abuse you're talking about but the least I can say is don't live with it alone.
 
Very sorry to hear that you're going through such a terrible time with so much on your plate right now. I agree with Laura and hope that you're able to confide in someone and talk things through. I'm very sorry that there's no cure for poor little Duchess and also hope that she is peaceful. Take care x

I can understand why your animals mean soooo much to you as i had a abusive dad when i was younger and found a friend in my animals..my sister once said to me you know why you have some many pets it because they are the friends you dont have and it was true..

I would say her chances are pretty good that she'll be okay if she has tick paralysis. Once the tick is removed, they are usually fine within 24 hours. If any complications arise like trouble breathing or hypothermia, the vet will be able to put her on oxygen or a ventilator and warm her up to get her through it until the paralysis resolves.
