New Born Pup
Many of the articles relating to bathing pigs cite as a reason to do so, fungal or parasitic conditions.
What are the potential parasites and or fungi that can affect a pig?
I ask because two of my pigs ( I have four ) are a bit itchy & one has a small bald patch appearing in the middle of her back. I don't know if this is down to the very warm weather we have had lately or if it's for some other reason.
They are 'outside' pigs and ,due to the weather are in their outdoor run at present.
I'm wondering whether to bath them as a precaution but as rescues, they are somewhat timid and I have no desire to stress then uneccessarily.
I'd appreciate any thoughts/ideas.
