My precious guinea pig, Paris, has what appears to be a ruptured eye, but it is reddish pink around the edge and is bulging. She has naturally bulgy eyes but this seems to almost to be coming out of the socket. She's going to the vet tomorrow, but has anyone else had something like this with their piggy? I'm really worried and it's been effecting my focus. Any cases like it or reassurance would be greatly appreciated.

Sending healing wheeeeeeeeeeks for little Paris XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

She is currently at the vet and getting her options looked at. I'll have to post photos this afternoon, but stay tuned for more information and photos (hopefully). Also, thanks for all the kind words! Also, she can go to the vet we hoped she could.

UPDATE!
Paris had the bad eye removed.

She had some form of pressure build-up within the eyeball itself which caused the problem.

She made a fine recovery and will be staying the night there in case she goes into shock, which he said is not uncommon after such surgery, and she will be in good hands! I'll let you know anything else that pops up about her!

Thanks again for all the kind words! Paris seems to have no quarrels with having one eye and we think it has a lot to do with the fact that she probably had little or no sight in her bad eye by the time it was removed. We had our lovely vet, who takes care of our dogs and helped us when our cat was slowly passing away and put her down for us, handle her eye and he did wonderfully. She gets stitches removed in a week and is acting like her old self. :(|)
