Parsnips

I got some today. Do I have to cook them first or do I treat them like carrots?

Treat them like carrots, just chop them up raw and chuck them in for the piggles. Mine love parsnips

Guinea pigs shouldn't be given cooked food it always should be raw

Just like with us, cooking kills off all the goodness in veggies that piggies need. I have never tried them with parsnips, I might have to investigate!

Have also never tried parsnips. May have to give the piggies some as i also love them too...so any excuse hehe

I have found that my piggies are generally not very keen on parsnips, but you can certainly feed them.

Please only ever feed fresh raw veg, never cooked, frozen or defrosted.
