Hi
My guinea pig is a 4.5/5 year old boy. I should say, he had a soft tissue sarcoma removed last year from his chin area.

I noticed blood in his cage last night which I think is in his wee. There were lumps of blood that I managed to collect and they were rock hard. I have been able to get an appointment with the vet for tomorrow.

There’s more blood this morning so I have tried to have a peek and his dongle (but I have not been able to push it out) instead, a blood clot/ tissue came out. I have attached pictures.

Is there anything I can be doing to help him? I have syringe fed some water to make sure he stays hydrated as he doesn’t seem to be drinking all too much.

I have also stopped giving him parsley which I know is his favourite thing but I appreciate it’s high calcium content so it might contribute to stones (if that even is the issue)

Please can anyone help a panicked pig mum.

Hi

Sorry for the late answer. Some threads can unfortunately be pushed down too far by a rush of new alerts when one of us is coming on in our own free time - an that can be rather irregular.

I hope that your vet has found out by now what is going on; whether you are dealing with an injury in the penis shaft or small crystals/ sludge in the bladder or urethra.
