Last week I rescued BB-8 from a shop where they had lots of piggies in horrible conditions. They didn't have clean water, no suitable food, and wire bedding. She was very malnourished and I have taken care of that quite well but she doesn't move. She doesn't move her back legs, instead she hops (when she moves, rarely) . On top of that, her front left leg is kind of bent outward at the elbow and her fingers don't seem to be useful. She uses her right for support. Anybody ever seen this? I'm planning to take her to the vet but I want to give her at least 2-3 weeks to see what's really going on. I didn't even ask but she's probably 3 weeks old as of now.

I don't have experience myself but an old friend had a pig who had a dislocated shoulder and he benefited greatly from water therapy in the bath, even though his arm permanently stuck out at a right angle and it looked like he was waving. I would get her to the vet as soon as you can as the back legs are a worry too, this could be the result of her mother being malnourished.

Agree you need to get to a vet asap - she could be in pain (guinea pigs are prey animals so they hide it and often don't make any "in pain noises" ) the vet will then be able to give metacam for pain relief and you will then be able to see how she walks / holds herself - a vet appointment for a piggy is usually around the £20 - £25 mark -but ring the vets before hand and they will be happy to tell you.
