That looks like a possible fungal condition to me. A vet visit is needed for diagnosis though. If the vet agrees it is fungal I recommend Imaverol dips. Please note that only Ringworm would potentially show up in a culture but there are many other types of fungal. Mange mites are also a possibility but I think less likely.

If you could update your location it will help us help you.

If they were from a well known pet shop please let them know as they should pay for treatment.

Welcome to the forum.

Where abouts on the body is the patch? It is normal to have a bald patch behind the ear but not for it to be scabby.

Thank you! It it by the hind leg. when we called the pet store they said they could take them to the vet but it could take up to two weeks for full treatment.

Certainly looks like possible fungal skin infection to me also. Could you take them to your local vet and as kthe store if they would pay for the treatment perhaps? Fungal treatment can take a few weeks or so to clear but can be done at home. A vet can prescribe the necessary cream/medication. We have treated fungal successfully a few times with cream from the vets.

I agree that it looks much more like fungal than mites to me, but only a vet can give you an appropriate diagnosis. Please do not treat on spec, as that can make things worse rather than better. Your picture doesn't scream highly infectious ringworm to me as I cannot see a distinct pink ring on the edge between the hair and bald patch (which is usually pretty visible on a white-haired piggy), but I would recommend to treat any form of fungal with respect when it comes to hygiene, just in case.
