Good luck to my other Silver Fox Piggy Patrick.

My Silver Fox Piggy Christian is sending you good luck vibes from over the Rainbow.

I will be a brave boy
Christian was a brave boy when he had to have his HUGE abdominal abscess removed. I bet yours won't be as big as his was.

Here he is awaiting the op.

Christian relaxed while waiting for op.webp

He was a very laid back piggy (literally) who loved turning over and lying on his back to chill.

He’s at the vets. He was going to be the first one done so he could have the longest recovery time.

Now the abscess is a bit bigger it seems it is likely to be a tooth root abscess. She is not going to remove the whole lump. It will be marsupialised instead. She said they never come out intact in this area.

She is going to do X-rays too just to make sure nothing else is going on and straighten his incisors and tidy up his teeth. They are a tiny bit overgrown.

Hopefully it will be a straightforward op with a bit of after care. She did say dental recovery can be hard for them.

He’s home and has eaten some treats and Critical Care. He’s had his loxicom and paracetamol.

I’ll start the antibiotics tomorrow morning.

He seems good.

I’ll offer more CC later and a heat pad.

I’ll get up at midnight to heat them up again and offer some cucumber.

Pinky seemed more upset when I got them out of the carrier. lol.
