Yes, I know what you are all thinking I'm the most paranoid person alive, starting to think that too. Surprisingly though I am handling this new bought of illness rather well.

I can feel the paranoia decreasing although I do feel for him as he is in some discomfort, we shall be visiting Mr Vet next week. I was considering asking if I could pay him monthly to cover my intense paranoia, never know rolleyes. I do think I'm keeping him in a job what can we say onwards and upwards!

Patrick having some Cranberry/ Barley Gloup he loves it.

Noooooooo.... not again. I hope it is just paranoia and not a uti. Looks like he loves his medicine though- what a good boy. xx>>>

There's no way I have imagined this bought of illness he was crying very loudly, 100% there is something wrong.

:(

Poor boy.

Too be fair I think it's a case of catching it from Pebbles. Someone did say to me UTI's are bacteria infections so can pass between pigs. Touch wood Fred and Wilma are still fine and Pebbles. Here's hoping after this illness we won't need to see the vet for a very longtime! :x

Fingers and toes crossed here. xx

Poor Patrick :( He's such a sweetheart, I hope he gets better really soon.

Oh no :( Poor Patrick.

Hope he's on the mend very soon xx

He's enjoying his cranberry juice at least! :))

He loves it, it's Barley/ Cranberry juice and him and Pebbles are actually fighting over the syringe it's hilarious and good for both of them so who's complaining!

On Peter Gurney site he states to give Barley water and Cranberry little and often. Then I remembered Pebbles saying about mixing them together. It's making my life so easy everytime I walk past the cage I offer it and Pebbles and Patrick fight over it :))!

Infact Pebbles and Patrick are actually fighting over the syringe it's hilarious. I don't even need to hold him to give him it, I just put the syringe in and he's happy as larry to eat and Pebbles is quite happy to try and steal the full syringe.

Another Video.

Glad it's helping and they are making it easy for you. You're well versed in what to do, Patrick is in good hands. :)

I spoke to the vet this morning and 3 are being prescribed baytril as the Septirin doesn't seem to be clearing it. The vet thinks its an infection because 3 of them are affected any views?

Well both are antibiotics so worth a go I suppose as it's not shifting.

Make sure they get a probiotic as Baytril is harsher on the gut than septrin. Watch for appetite loss but I have found that any of mine that got appetite reduced were back to full appetite after a day or so. But I always use a probiotic.

Do you give probiotic before the baytril or after the baytril?

How much probiotic do you give normally and how do you give it?

Not everyone does the same as me.
I buy vet arc Pro-C from pets at home, it's about a fiver. It goes in the drinking water and so far every pig of mine likes it and drinks MORE than normal while it's in there.

You add one scoop to 200ml of water. You MUST change the water every day and while you are using it scrub the bottle every day too. I swear by it but I know some people prefer different ones that your vet will probably have, they are more expensive and you need to syringe them.

But for me Vet arc Pro-C is the best one.

Yes I know Rank he's on my bed, Good thing I was just about to change it!

Bad Piggy, I did have an incopad on it but could he sit on it! Course not!
