When I adopted Patsy last September, at her first health check with the vet she was diagnosed as having large Ovarian Cysts. As they weren't bothering her and she wasn't showing any obvious symptoms it was thought best to leave them well alone. This morning at the weekly weigh in and health check, I noticed (for the first time) that her nipples have become very slightly elongated and there is a small bit of crustiness around the base of them. I have booked a vet appointment with Rachel next Wednesday which is the next day that Rachel has any free appointments when she is on shift - she is a very popular vet! It isn't urgent as I have only just noticed these very small symptoms but I thought it best if they were checked out. She's not lost any weight at all, she is still eating, drinking and living up to her nickname of Poopy Patsy!

Good luck! Fingers crossed all goes well!

Oh no! Poor Patsy. Hope all goes well with the vet appointment. The boys and I are sending lots of love 💗

Oh no, poor Poopy Patsy, glad she’s only got small symptoms bless her. Hope her appointment goes well :) Lots of healing vibes from me and the gang x

All the best for the vet trip, Patsy is a lucky girl to have such a dedicated piggy mummy keeping such a close watch on her health in her senior years! x

Hope all goes well for Patsy. We are currently keeping an eye on our Peggy as she also has ovarian cysts but no symptoms.

Aww, Poopy Patsy! I’m glad she is still well in herself, hope all goes well at the vets. X

Patsy would like to thank all her well wishers and hopes that Aunty Rachel (Vet) will be gentle as when she (Patsy not the Vet!) gets anxious she chews at her toes on her front paws.

🐹 Good luck pretty Patsy 🍀

If it's any consolation my Ellie had an ovarian cyst & the HCG Chorulon hormone injections worked brilliantly for her when she was 6yrs, so if a hysterectomy isn't an option there's other treatments to explore for the more mature lady.
Although I gather Rachel is an experienced /competent vet with small furries

Xx
